Between Light and Shadows Series BLS002: Solitude
Archival pigment print on fine art paper
2016–2024
"In stillness we witness the quiet power of change."
Solitude reflects the delicate balance between presence and absence, resilience and vulnerability. Two weathered columns stand at the edge of the sea, silhouetted against a sky dissolving into fading light, their forms quietly shaped by time and the elements.
This piece emerged from a patient observation of light and shadow, capturing a fleeting moment where the environment took the lead. The interplay of light across the columns and sky creates a dialogue between stillness and change, a meditation on endurance in a shifting landscape.
The painterly quality was achieved through bold contrasts and subtle refinement, enhancing the texture and depth of the scene. Archival pigment printing preserves the tonal richness, lending a timeless and tactile presence to the work.
Solitude invites reflection, offering a quiet space where light, shadow, and form converge in a silent conversation.
