Artist statement
This drawing was executed in April, at the peak of coronavirus and is the most overt reference to the pandemic. The composition is comprised of empty white squares evenly dispersed among the evenly dispersed little figures. The symmetrical and evenness of the composition creates an eerie aura of isolation and distance. This drawing was completed very rapidly in one week or 70 hours.
