About the art
Artist statement
The three images I used in the construction of this image were all captured in Florida. One is taken from a helicopter of a Miami beach scene, another, on land, shows the shadow reflection of a palm leaf, and the third is of the Florida sky. The most important image shows a lone person on a float in the ocean. She is away from the crowded beach umbrellas and relaxing on a raft on the water's edge. The palm branch shadows on a pink pastel wall supplied me with a tropical element that is graphically evident, and the blue sky promises peacefulness to the day.
