Saguaro sunset II

This image is a compilation of photos from a shoot I did of the Saguaro Cactus region in the western United States. I sometimes think of this image style as “Photo-Cubism”, a technique of illustrating space volumetrically by moving through a scene to capture alternate views of the same subject and rearranging them on one flat surface. In addition to the spatial reconstruction, this process adds an element of time to the works as the various components of the scene are photographed from different perspectives and different moments and later reassembled into a larger, more comprehensive experience. In this way, I strive to have the viewer participate in my exploration of the scene. This compilation of images were taken over several days at sunset in Saguaro National park.
