Sandy beach and ocean waves

A windy sunrise with waves on the ocean and beach sand. The winds blew hard the night before making ripples in the beach sand and larger than normal ocean waves. My approach to constructing the image is to first break apart the scene into component parts by taking many photographs of the scene from myriad angles and then use those parts as the building blocks for reconstructing a new scene with minimalist, geometric, and architectural overtones. This ocean sunrise scene is comprised of several photographs taken within minutes of each other to capture the totality of the golden light, and waves on both the ocean and the sandy beach. All of the components in the final work are taken from these images. The result is something of a Cubist way of exploring the subject, but a Minimalist/Geometric way of reconstructing it.
