Artist statement
Artist Tran Tuan created this painting with the inspiration of his feeling about the beauty of a lotus lake. It's the time when the lotus flowers bloom in the lotus pond under the sun. The red color of the lotus petals, the yellow color of the lotus pistil, the young green of the lotus calyx, the dark green in the shade and the light green of the lotus leaf in the sunlight: all of them blend together to sparkle. It is such a wonderful sight of nature.
