On Top of the World is part of the Fairytale collection by Tyler Shields
Storyboard notes: If you set the highest goal you possibly can, coming up short still means you passed everyone else. This photo is over 300 years in the making as the volcano that erupted decided to create this beautiful scene for me. They say this rock is 593,000 years old and it is like no substance I have ever shot on or been around. For the past 12 years, I have been going up and shooting around this place with Lydia Hearst, and every time it is unique. Some new view, new feeling, or new image comes. Sometimes you can’t get the scope of a place in a single photo, but when I first saw this photo it made me very happy as you feel like you are there. It's as if you could reach out and touch the rocks. This is exactly what it feels like to stand exactly where I was standing. This is my newest print titled On Top of the World.
