Artist statement
Elements Stream is an organic flow of subtle earthy hues travelling within streamlines of pale white hues. Inspired by the elements - earth, water, fire and air plus a fifth element ether which could exist as a medium in between. An exploration of the forces of nature floating and interweaving through space. In the process of painting, striving for a dynamic balance of energy and atmosphere through the textural strokes and sgrafitto marks applied on the surface of the painting. To create an impression of depth and movement thick paint is applied over thinly scrapped layers of colour. An expression of underlying currents and emerging light.
