Artist statement
In this strata painting, green strokes emerge gradually in a slow process of germination. Like nature at rest, where growth seems dormant, life quietly unfolds beneath the surface. The base layer, created with a fluid pour captures a sense of flowing water and subtle movement. This is contrasted by thicker, tactile layers of paint applied above, inviting the viewer to feel the interplay between stillness and motion.
