Artist statement
This bright rhythmic painting imagines long summer sunsets saturated in pink with floating colours across the sky. The ‘clouds’ are a spacey mix of vivid broad strokes of contrasting hues to make them pop off the surface. Creating a dynamic movement and flow like bursts of energy in the air. The background layer tints darken toward the bottom into violet hues and deeper tones as twilight approaches. Part of the exhibition titled “Terra Incognita” with the idea of exploring visual journeys to unknown lands.
