Artist statement
Ungrounded began with the idea of exploring the world and journeys through unknown lands. Discovering the twist and turns of terrain as well as different abstract perspectives of the earth. The marks carve rough and gritty textures with jagged edges as well as creating a flow in the hues of colour. The entire form grounded in nature yet floating in an ever changing movement in space. With dark browns and cool blues set to stand out on a pale pink background stretching out across the atmosphere.
