Artist statement
Shades of blue greens contrast with strokes of white and yellow in this small artwork.
My abstract paintings are created as a result of explorations in colour, light, depth, form and texture while working in the expressive qualities of oil paints. Through a unique transfer of energy in the action of mark making, the painting process involves a dynamic balance of strokes and subtle variations to convey a sense of mood and movement on the surface.
