The Lily flower is a symbol of the purity, royalty, pride and nobility.
Jewish legend says that a Lily flower grew in paradise during the Eve's temptation by the devil and could be defiled, but no dirty hand dared to touch it. Perhaps for this reason, the seven-branched was decorated with Lilies flower candlestick by Moses's direction.
About red Lily flower says that it changed color at the night before Christ's suffering on the cross. All flowers bowed their heads in front of Savior as a sign of compassion and sorrow when Christ passed through the Gethsemane Garden, except of Lily flower. It wanted Him to enjoyed by its beauty and pride. But the suffering gaze of Christ fell on the Lily flower and shame blush spread over its petals because of His humility and remained on the Lily flower forever.
