About the art
Artist statement
It has been a long time since there were such snowy winters as the winter of 2021. In February, my friends artists decided to paint landscapes even in seventeen degrees of frost. These February days were already very beautiful and sunny. The river was frozen and I was painting this canvas while standing on the surface of the ice. At other times of the year, it would be possible to paint a landscape from such a position only from a boat. Despite the intense cold, the plein air was a success and gave us great pleasure.
