Artist statement
A form that twists and turns appears to run under then over itself. This piece is, for me, a representation of a past decade. I was interested here to harness a graphic dynamic quality in the shape, and have that work in tandem with the choice of colours to bring the viewer into feeling a vibe from the mid to late last century. A fresh piece that has a flowing joyful feel to it.
Cut by hand from Birch ply.
Painted in acrylic.
This piece measures:
Height: 26 inches (66cm)
Width: 31 inches (79cm)
Depth: 0.6 inches (1.5cm)
A single recessed keyhole slot is installed on the back, so the piece is ready to hang with just one screw in a wall. The keyhole hanging method also allows the piece to hang flush and secure to the wall.
I have signed and dated the artwork on the back.
