About the art
Artist statement
Remains of a beach house.
Wood worked by sand and tides, rusted found objects, copper plate on birch ply, a piece of terracotta worked by the sea, finely cut and painted birch ply and just a tiny piece of fluro Plexiglas.
These are the elements that make this mixed material piece that finds a balance between the flow of the clean, painted woodwork between the driftwood verticals.
Strikingly unusual , an absolute one of a kind.
Part of the Jurassic Coast series.
This piece measures:
Height: 24 inches (61cm)
Width: 10 inches (25.5cm)
Depth: 2 inches (5cm)
A single recessed keyhole slot is installed on the back, so the piece is ready to hang with just one screw in a wall. The keyhole hanging method also allows the piece to hang flush and secure to the wall.
