Artist statement
This is a collaborative work between myself and the artist Ishita Banerjee of 'SoulCurryArt'.
The artwork is a translation of painting into wall sculpture. The twist is really taking a level plane surface and moving it into three dimensional form using birch plywood.
The multi faceted structure encompassing eyes and suggesting other features is beguiling.
The piece is ready to hang on a single screw thanks to a recessed key-hole slot installed on the back.
