About the art
Artist statement
Elements - I've brought together rusty parts and wood worked by the elements into a juxtaposed harmony with crafted pieces of wood, plexiglass and copper.
The collecting of the raw materials took place along the south coast of England. A stretch known as the Jurassic Coast, well known for pre-historic finds.
My work doesn't contain any pre-historic elements, but it does capture an essence of the wild coast.
I've allowed myself a single quirk, that being the 'Imagine' pin badge from a Parisian flea market.
This piece measures:

Width: 35 inches (89cm)
Depth: 2 inches (5cm)
A single recessed keyhole slot is installed on the back, so the piece is ready to hang with just one screw in a wall. The keyhole hanging method also allows the piece to hang flush and secure to the wall.
I have signed and dated the artwork on the back.
