Artist statement
This form is something that has been evolving in my work for the last few years, each iteration brings a new focus on materials, depth and colour. It is a series, in a loose way.
The work is a contemplative piece of form, curve and colour. The line of curve takes the eye on a winding journey along the length of the piece, intersecting over and under itself.
This piece measures:
Height: 42 inches (107cm)
Width: 19 inches (48cm)
Depth: 1 inch (2.2cm)
Two recessed keyhole slots are installed on the back for hanging horizontally. The piece also has a single keyhole slot for hanging in the vertical. The piece is ready to hang. The keyhole hanging method also allows the piece to hang flush and secure to the wall.
