Wall Sculpture - Vertizontal
In making this sculpture I wanted to explore building below and above the surface of the plane. Its really a good look at what came be created, through sculpture, in wall art.
Depth in my structures is something I'm always striving to reach and in this work I feel very satisfied how this has been realised. Constructed with several layers of mini ply beams and a base and mid-layer of ply. This piece takes your view in and brings it out.
To add visual grounding I've used reclaimed oak at the base. Just gorgeous grain yet restrained.
On left side I've built up from darker shades of ochre, yellow and buff. The right is coming up in blues and turquoises with a meagre pop of orange.
