Artist statement
In her art practice, Weijue Wang takes wool fibre as her main creative medium and explores the possession and lack of rights in women's gender roles through installations and graphic art forms. Her works are based on this conflict, revealing the conflicts and struggles that lie beneath the calm, wonderful surface. Weijue Wang's artwork is not just an exploration and reflection of her own experience as a woman, but also a challenge to the expectations and stereotypes of the female body in society.
