About the art
Artist statement
"All the Rivers" is a visceral and fluid work that delves into the organic essence of life itself. As part of the Journey series, this painting captures the interconnected chaos and harmony found within the body’s vital systems. The vibrant reds and deep contrasts evoke the flow of blood and other bodily fluids, forming a metaphorical map of internal rivers that sustain life. The interplay of colors and textures mimics the pulsating energy of tissues dissolving and reforming, inviting the viewer to reflect on the fragility and resilience of our organic nature.
With its dynamic, flowing forms, "All the Rivers" blurs the boundaries between the body and the external world, suggesting a universal connectivity that ties all living systems together.
The painting is framed in a black wooden floating frame (178cmx108cmx5cm / 70.07"x42.51"x1.96" - dimensions without the frame 170x100x4cm / 66.92"x39.37"x1.5748").
