Hourglass of Time

Time is like an hourglass, every grain of sand tells a story.

This selfie collection was specially created to celebrate my 50-year-old birthday in 2022. With half a century of pain and glory, it’s not only a treasurable lifetime memory for me, but also a reward to my 18 years' pursuit on photography, with its winning of 2nd place of IPA and a few other awards.

It took us 2 days with thousands of tries to get this out, as it’s so very difficult to capture an expressional fabric movement corresponding to the the direction of time passed and life ahead. I personally don't like a manipulated photo as a precious lifetime memory.

The total run of this artwork is 4 editions in large size, the number stands for 4 seasons in a year as well as seasons in our life.

* Photographs printed on Hahnnemüle 308gsm museum quality paper with a white border of 2.5cm, comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) signed and numbered by the artist. Shipped in a tube with specific artwork materials. Frame and mat not included.
