About the art
Artist statement
In many cultures, butterflies are considered as symbols of transformation, hope, and rebirth associated with feminine energy. A transformation from the cocoon to the butterfly symbolizes a very painful change in one's life. Yet only by overcoming all the hardships, we are able to build our wings to fly, and a glorious life can be expected.
I used a piece of silky fabric to enhance the feminine beauty by throwing it (for many times) to make the spreading wings.
