Metaphorically and literally, the energy of the moon aligns with emotions, subconscious, darkness and the night, dreams, intuition, introspection, and inner sensing. The celestial body's influence on humans biology has largely been dismissed as myth.

Just like the Moon, women go through her monthly cyclical phases. The average length of women's menstrual cycles matches the moon's 29.5-day waxing and waning cycle. Thus, women are usually a reflection of the Moon, of her phases and of her natural cycles. Many cultures associated the moon with fertility. While in Asian cultures, rice is also a symbol of abundance, fertility, and prosperity(五谷丰登), which is deeply connected to the Yin energy from mother Nature.
