Yunior Marino’s furniture series blurs the line between order and chaos. He brings to life organic objects full of texture that give the utilitarian object a sculptural air. Even when they are functional and surprisingly comfortable, an overwhelming visual pleasure prevails. Every piece of each piece of furniture has been handcrafted, from the smallest to the largest wooden balls. The excessive patience and time invested remind us how nature creates, slowly. Like a coral reef, where beauty has been sculpted by the hand of time.
----
This striking artwork features a sculptural table with a uniquely organic form. The base of the table commands attention with its intricate, tactile texture. Composed of spherical and cylindrical shapes, the base creates an earthy contrast to the sleek top. The use of natural tones and the interplay of light and shadow evoke a sense of harmony between elements. A careful balance between modernity and nature is achieved, emphasizing the beauty of organic asymmetry. This piece is not only a functional object but a captivating artistic statement, redefining conventional notions of furniture design.

Yunior Marino completed his studies at the Instituto Superior de Artes de Cuba before settling in Miami. Mariño, an artist in every sense of the word, works not only as a visual artist but also as a musician and designer. He seeks by all means to investigate the universal questions of the cosmos, nature, and time. He has captivated audiences with the colorful details of his paintings, the moody, ethereal melodies of his music, and the directness of his photography. He conceives the creation of his paintings as mantras, in the sense that by repeating the same action, his mind empties completely.
The act of painting becomes a form of meditation. Mariño explains that the time and process of creating work are at the core of what the painting wants to mean, declaring: that is how they were made, they are what they are. Mariño frames the art of creation simply by fixing what we have once destroyed. He actively uses his past and the concept of the passage of time with universality to heal his present and future. For Yunior, the art of creating has no restrictions on the insular "being", but encompasses the larger universe, his paintings represent what "we are" and not only what we are as a race but "us" as a whole. He has worked in different countries and has exhibited extensively in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Cuba.
