Yunior Marino’s furniture series blurs the line between order and chaos. He brings to life organic objects full of texture that give the utilitarian object a sculptural air. Even when they are functional and surprisingly comfortable, an overwhelming visual pleasure prevails. Every piece of each piece of furniture has been handcrafted, from the smallest to the largest wooden balls. The excessive patience and time invested remind us how nature creates, slowly. Like a coral reef, where beauty has been sculpted by the hand of time.

This artwork features an innovative furniture set that combines functionality with artistic flair. The piece consists of a bench and a table, crafted from a multitude of vertical wooden dowels of varying lengths. These dowels create an organic, dripping effect, reminiscent of icicles or stalactites, enhancing the visual intrigue. The wood displays a natural gradient, ranging from light beige to rich brown, emphasizing the material's inherent beauty. The bench's backrest adopts a wave-like silhouette, inviting comfort while maintaining aesthetic elegance. This unique and imaginative design challenges conventional furniture norms, offering a striking conversation piece that seamlessly integrates art and utility. The arrangement's asymmetric lines and varied textures introduce dynamic movement, captivating the observer's attention and inviting closer inspection.

Yunior Marino completed his studies at the Instituto Superior de Artes de Cuba before settling in Miami. Mariño, an artist in every sense of the word, works not only as a visual artist but also as a musician and designer. He seeks by all means to investigate the universal questions of the cosmos, nature, and time. He has captivated audiences with the colorful details of his paintings, the moody, ethereal melodies of his music, and the directness of his photography. He conceives the creation of his paintings as mantras, in the sense that by repeating the same action, his mind empties completely.
