Artist statement
With concepts of the astral plane inspiring Goulet's work, Lighthouse in the Fabric of Time hints towards an inter-dimensional view of our waking life. This piece was finished in spring of 2022 before being shown at The Other Art Fair Chicago. Featuring heavily layered oil paint, the painting's texture exhibits an almost lenticular-esque effect when viewed from the sides. This is a painting on canvas, stretched on wood stretcher bars, made by Goulet. This piece took years to make, as it was once considered finished by the artist for 2 years, when one night he made drastic alterations to it, breaking ground and establishing Lighthouse in the Fabirc of Time, one of the young artist's masterpieces.
