The line "How I wish I could have thousands of spacious houses to shelter all the poor scholars and make them happy" was penned by Du Fu, a renowned poet in the Tang Dynasty of China. It is from his poem A Thatched Cottage Ravaged by Autumn Gales. At that time, Du Fu was in a difficult situation himself. The thatched cottage where he lived was battered by the autumn wind and in a dilapidated state. However, he extended his own feelings to others and uttered such a powerful cry in the poem. This line embodies a profound longing for ensuring the housing of the masses and their happy lives.
