Artist statement
The painting Zue draws is Fishtail Rock in an island in Kowloon Bay off the coast of To Kwa Wan, Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. It was believed to be a place of good feng shui.
Zue's works focus on the process of looking for landscapes. Nature is a form of energy and life. Every moment of the creative process can not be expected, as nature. Landscape is a healing for her to accept the ups and downs of life.
She uses western oil paints and moden Chinese ink element to combine into a piece of art. Every painting is a page of diary which records what she thinks and feel in the nature. It is a language that Nature and her communicate.
