Art Busan has returned once again for another edition this year. Launched in 2012, with the purpose of transforming Busan into the city of art and culture, the fair has now become ths largest nation-wide art festival. Despite a drop in numbers, this year saw an impressive turnout of about 170 galleries from 16 countries, including Galerie Perrotin (Paris), Gallery d'Arte (New York) and Pearl Lam (Hong Kong).
The 6th Art Busan takes place at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO) from 2nd to 5th June, with some 4,000 art pieces on display. A special exhibition on Korea's "Minjung Art," or art of the people in Korean, will be highlighted in a special exhibition, titled "Korea's Realism; And Today," which shows some 50 paintings by 10 artists. Scroll down for some highlights from the fair this year!
