About the art
Artist statement
During 6 months between 2016 and 2017, I travelled through various towns and cities of Galicia with the project Adopt a Bigwig, an exhibition in the form of a campaign in search of "adoptions" that had saved the original ones that made it through fire.
The night of San Xoan 2017, 9 out of 45 Bigwigs finally burned.
This book gathers the memory of the project and it is made up as a work of collective creation that adds the texts of Tomás Lijó and Mónica Góñez.
Each copy of the book includes one signed digital print in a limited edition of 15 copies of one of the 45 characters of the project. 28x23cm.
The texts are in Galician, English and Spanish.
