Artist statement
The Plano table is a scaled version of the Farnsworth House, designed and built by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Dr. Edith Farnsworth from 1949-1951.
This is very unique piece as it is intended as an homage to the architect and the 20th century masterpiece that is the house. There is a critical commentary on the house as a coffee table, which we shall leave open to interpretation.
