Artist statement
The Planetary Shelf is the most complex and interesting piece I've ever designed and built. The premise and inspiration was a furniture object conceived solely of the circle and the sphere, with a direct reference to astral bodies. All the circles slot into each other, only by friction. The piece is composed of stone, wood, brass and copper. The mirrored copper and brass act as mirrors. More poetic and sculptural than any other design. I'm really proud of this one.
