This lamp has a fascinating history. The marking on the bottom of the base/vase and the style resembles that of Adrianus Kocx from De Grieksche A (The Greek A), considered to be one of the most prestigious and famous Delftware factories of the Dutch Golden Age. However, it is actually a Delft “Revival” 19th century reproduction, possibly by Samson, of a 17th century work. An antique now in its own right, its delicate hand-painted Chinoiserie design tells the story of life in a blooming garden—with flowers, birds, butterflies, a bridge over water and human figures.
It is a one-of-a-kind lamp that has been lovingly handcrafted and paired with a custom contemporary lampshade, in a sunny yellow linen, from an atelier near Amsterdam. No matter where you choose to place it in your home, Pharrell will most definitely light up your life and bring good cheer to any space!
