Artist statement
The first edition of the Sermon candle holder, released in 2021 in a limited amount, celebrates Brutalist aesthetics and comes in two different finishes.
The solid metal candle holder has been envisioned as an austere ritual artefact, a quality that lends it its name. It consists of three identical parts of welded brass tubes connected at their base, with each tube able to hold one candle. Its strict form and choice of material is a reference to the Brutalist architectural movement of the 1950s.
