Artist statement
A homage to terrazzo, a material commonly used as flooring in buildings constructed in the 1900s, and its vivid colours, white, beige, green, dull-red and peach, found in pre-cast outdoor garden settees. This made terrazzo a natural choice to explore its adaptability to the finely detailed 'folds' of Aureole's Geometry series.
An extension to the Art of Paper Folding, this collection is finished in polished terrazzo stone and comprises table lights in a variety of folding shapes and heights. In this 8-Point design, the subtle angles become more apparent when light is cast onto the stone surface.
Material: Terrazzo stone, Black (Matt finished). Size of light holder: 7 x 7 x H 12 cm (Kindly allow some variations as the item is hand made). Fittings: Black cord with dimmer, EU two-pin plug head, E27 bulb holder. Bulb: As featured in the product photo here, we include a complimentary* G95 filament globe bulb as a display recommendation. For ambience, low wattage < 40W Edison filament bulbs are preferred (less glare for eye comfort). Bulb sizes that best fit the table lights are G95 or G125, filament type.
