Artist statement
Intrinsinotopy, designed by materials.
100% discarded maritime materials from the French Atlantic Coast.
Inspired by craft, Intrinsinotopy offers to the material to express itself during the making process. Each curve is defined by the material, proposing a unique design for each piece.
Following the leitmotiv of self-sufficiency, the Intrinsinotopy pieces are fired in the ancestral ceramic kiln, in direct contact with the flames. Thus, inspired by the wabi sabi approach, the process offers unique shades of colors to the pieces according to their position in the kiln.
