Artist statement
Over time, the value of both texture and gesture has been essential to my sculptural aesthetic. Especially for my White & Gold pieces, from building the form, applying glaze, and producing textural vortices, they’re a meticulous and strenuous undertaking. These works are an intentional approach to staying grounded in the present and when finalized, the ‘moment’ is perpetually retained through their physical form.
