Artist statement
A project inspired by ceramic handcrafted head vases from Sicily which are called Teste di Moro.
Our collection translates these masterpieces from ceramic into leather as a tribute to Sicilian ceramic maestros and to our homeland, with vibrant colours and perky elements.
The orange tones make you feel immerse in a Sicilian late afternoon summer day. The subject pays tribute to the futurist artist Fortunato Depero, who has influenced all Cappello & Martello style. 'Partualli' plays with the tones of orange and the archetypal shape of a vase to give an object that has a formal harmony and warm character. The two bottles of orangeade carry the facial features have the double function of closure of the vase and give a distinctive accent to the object.
To enjoy 'Partualli' charm, assemble all the parts by snap buttons and shape the vase into a unique multifunctional object:
- as a storage bin;
- as a vase cover after surrounding any flower pot with it;
- as a decorative piece after placing it on the table or shelf.
