I moved from the city to Yoshino with my family eight years ago. Okuyamato is full of nature, mountains and rivers, and is a good environment for children to grow up in. I feel that the quiet and peaceful environment far surpasses the convenience of the city. Although the once-flourishing Okuyamato's population has declined along with its forestry industry, I believe that the number of people who appreciate the splendour of living in Nature will naturally increase.

Rather than producing for mass appreciation, I aim to make products for users who have a deep appreciation for the material and craft. I am new to exploring and working with Cedar bark as a material, and hope to introduce more ways to utilise the material.
