Artist statement
The concept behind this ashtray is capturing a chemical change and freezing it in time. Ashtrays are associated with smoking or fire, therefore this object is roughly sculpted in order to recall flames.
Glazed in glossy or opaque finishing, this sculptural ashtray has many niches where one can rest a cigarette or simply use it as a storage for keys, phones, or other daily used items.
