Artist statement
The concept behind this ashtray is capturing a chemical change and freezing it in time. Ashtrays are associated with smoking or fire, therefore this object is roughly sculpted in order to recall flames.
Glazed in fire-y glossy orange, this sculptural ashtray has many niches where one can rest a cigarette or simply use it as storage for keys, phone,s or other daily used items.
