About the art
Artist statement
Daylight was created for Alt Material 4 2020. The brief was to design a piece in response to the theme INGENUITY, to develop and make an object of use from limited resources during lockdown. “How can design bring us closer despite social distancing and our current physical separation”
In an attempt to bring the outside into our homes during isolation, this piece has been designed to lift our well-being, and boost our creative energy.
Daylight is a sculptural, frosted glass, therapy lamp with a floating (6500k) full spectrum globe that mimics natural sunlight.
