Artist statement
The ‘Kósmos Aquamarine’ vase exudes elegance with its matte aquamarine/ white finish, interspersed with reflective surfaces enhanced by 24Kt gold luster. This intricate technique requires three separate firings, with the final “third firing” unlocking the gold’s radiant reflections. Part of the deBlona Kósmos collection, these vases are a study in balance—simple in appearance yet embodying the complexity of ceramic artistry.
Despite the technical challenges of the process, each vase is handcrafted in a single piece, with no parts assembled or glued post-firing. The deBlona mark is stamped directly into the clay, certifying its authenticity. Like all deBlona creations, these vases are exclusively handmade in Italy, a true testament to artisanal craftsmanship.
