About the art
Artist statement
The Rupi Lamp is part of the Folclore Collection, a series of special designs inspired by the Brazilian Folklore.
Each piece of the Collection come from a different legend. The Rupi is inspired by the Curupira.
Curupira is a mystical figure that protects the forests from hunters and invasors. With a bow and arrow and his feet backwards he confuses and kills who attempts to destroy the nature.
The Lamp is wireless powered by a 12v battery that lasts up to 14 hours directly. The charging is full in one hour. The charger is also made with hardwoods and has a light that is green when it is fully charged and red when it is charging.
It has also a dimmer that allows the adjust of light intensity from very soft and comfortable to extremely strong for reading and writing.
