Artist statement
Unique mood light entirely made of bamboo.
Bones highlight the raw hidden curves of the plant.
The light is diffused through thin bamboo leaves extracted by a mechanical turning process. Its translucency qualities underline the fibrous constitution of the bamboo.
This lamp is easy to open thanks to a magnet system which allows to change the LED strip if necessary.
Prototype project realized during a six-month residency at the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute (N.T.C.R.I.).
Project exhibited in the Craft Design Center Museum in Caotun (Taiwan) and for the Milan Design Week 2019 (Italy).
