Artist statement
Designed by Dylan CASASNOVAS, edited by 13Desserts.
Josian is a lounge chair produced in rattan and molded oak plywood.
In his design, the designer took advantage of the flexibility and resistance of these two combined materials.
By splitting it in two before bending, the rattan liana is optimized, which allows a more efficient assembly and a minimalist look.
The ambition was to offer an innovative design by reappropriating an ancient artisanal technique and exploiting the incredible properties of the rattan liana.
