Artist statement
Designed rather in the notion of a small piece of architecture than of an egocentric design statement, Adhoc is very versatile. Easily being moved around and constantly changing its function it can be an extra seat at the dining table, a stool in the hallway to comfortably put on shoes, a mini shelf, a bedside - or coffeetable and of course a stepladder for kids and grownups.
One could simply describe it as "useful", if it wasn't for the danger of reducing it to that. For its characteristic runners and the clever, six-legged construction give it both stability and originality and make it a special object that attracts attention without being obtrusive!
Adhoc is made in Germany from solid ash wood with a keen focus on high quality craftsmanship and is available in a range of lucid colors and in plain, oiled natural wood.
