About the art
As seen in
Artist statement
I call them spoons but there is very little spoon about them.
They may serve you with a ritual gesture of drizzling spices, sprinkling sugar, serving dessert but more likely they just stand in the window like a bucket of flowers would do, with the sole purpose of being looked at.
Each spoon I carve is its own and is named after its chronologic number.
Spoon No. 5 & 6 is a pair. Like salt and Pepper and explore a knife-marked finish, spade-shaped head and wonky octagonal stems.
Carved from oak and poplar.
Wood: Ebonised Oak, Poplar
Dimensions (ebonised oak): H20 x W15 cm
Dimensions (poplar): H30 x W15 cm
